Doç.Dr. A.Beyhan ÖZDEMİR
1965 yılında Gaziantep’te doğdu. 1982-1986 yılları arasında Ankara Üniversitesi DTCF Macar Dili ve Edebiyatı Bölümü’nde okudu. 1986’da girdiği Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi “Sinema-TV Fotoğraf” Bölümü’nden 1990 yılında mezun oldu.
1992’de DEÜ Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü’nde “Çağdaş Macar Sineması” konusundaki master teziyle Yüksek Lisans eğitimini tamamladı. DEÜ Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü’ndeki Doktora çalışmasını 1996 yılında tamamladı. Fotoğrafın ortaya çıkışı, bir sanat olarak değerlendirilmesi ve günümüzde fotoğrafa müdahalenin teknik, ideolojik ve estetik boyutlarının incelendiği doktora teziyle “Bilim Doktoru” ünvanı aldı.
Bugüne kadar yurtiçinde ve yurtdışında 38 kişisel sergi açtı. Çeşitli dergilerde yazıları yayınlandı, ulusal ve uluslararası toplantılarda konferanslar verdi. 60’tan fazla karma sergiye katıldı, ulusal ve uluslararası birçok ödül ve çok sayıda sergileme aldı. Birçok fotoğraf yarışmasında jüri üyelikleri yaptı.
40’a yakın ülke ve 300 civarında şehre fotoğraf yolculuğu yaptı. 2013-2015 yılları arasında TFSF Başkan Yardımcılığı yaptı. Gaziantep Fotoğraf Sanatı Derneği (GAFSAD) ve İzmir Fotoğraf Sanatı Derneği (İFOD) üyesidir. 2017-2019 yıllarında Türkiye Fotoğraf Sanatı Federasyonu (TFSF) Başkanlığı yaptı. Halen DEÜ GSF Fotoğraf Bölümü öğretim üyesi olarak görev yapmaktadır.

He was born in Gaziantep, in 1965. He studied at Ankara University Faculty Of Languages History and Geography, Department of Hungarology between 1982-1986. He started studying at Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Fine Arts ‘’Cinema-TV Photography’’ in 1986 and graduated in 1990.
In 1992 he completed his Master’s degree titled ‘’Contemporary Hungarian Cinema’’ at Dokuz Eylul University, Graduate School of Social Sciences, where he gained his PhD in 1996. With his doctorate these called ‘’Emerging of photography, evaluation of photography as art and examining the interference to photography today in technical, ideological and aesthetical dimensions’’ he gained ‘Doctor of Science’ title.
So far, he had 38 solo exhibitions nationwide and internationally. His essays were published in various journals, he lectured in national and international seminars. He participated in more than 60 group exhibitions, in Turkey and abroad he won many prizes and mentions. He was a jury member in several photography contests.
He travelled across nearly 40 countries and 300 cities for photography purpose. Between 2013-2015 he was the Vice Chairman of TFSF (Photographic Arts Federation of Turkey). He is a member of GAFSAD (Gaziantep Association of Photography Art) and IFOD(İzmir Photography Art Association). Between 2017-2019 he was the Chairman of TFSF (Photographic Arts Federation of Turkey). He is currently working as Associate Professor at Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Photography.
